Someone asked me why I decided to work on a series of portraits of burlesque dancers. Part of the reason is that I’m attracted to passion, the good dancers have a real passion about what they do…and they mirror my own obsessions. The concern with passions and obsessions is that they too easily become destructive…maybe that’s the price you have to pay.

Fanad Lighthouse bathed in Moonlight
My favourite Lighthouse bathed in the most incredible Moonlight, I debated going back again to Fanad to take some long exposure shots…but then I thought I might also get a nice sunset…unfortunately I delayed too long…missed the sunset…but as I came closer I saw the most magnificent full Moon rising over the Lighthouse. I took a few shot with the moon…but nothing spectaclar. As the time went on the stars started to appear and I thought I would try to get a nice star shot. I moved around and when I stepped onto a rock I saw this amazing vista…..and knew this would be my photograph from this trip……I am stll waiting for that incredible North Atlantic Storm…oh well maybe next time !

My family lives in the SF Bay Area. Whenever I make the trip to the coast to see them, I try to visit the Golden Gate Bridge. Usually it’s just to stare and wonder what I could possibly do with my camera that would be different from the multitude of other photos that have been made of this Iconic bridge.
